Quiet city camping in Aabenraa — 2 km to town, 300 m to forest, 500 m to the beach
Aabenraa Citycamping is a small, calm city campsite on the south-eastern edge of Aabenraa in Southern Jutland. It sits 2 km from the town centre, 300 m from Sønderskoven forest and 500 m from the beach and the harbour, so you can walk to the water in the morning and be among cafés, shops and the town's cultural life the same afternoon. The site is deliberately compact: whichever pitch you take, the central service building, the playground and the main building are only a short walk away. Pitches come both open and hedged, and a number of them look out over Aabenraa Fjord or across the town. The service building holds a shared kitchen with a covered terrace, two family rooms, a baby-changing room, accessible facilities, separate men's and women's washrooms, a laundry with washer and dryer, and a chemical toilet disposal point; it is cleaned several times a day. In the main building there is a large lounge with a TV, a terrace and a reception where you can order morning bread or a breakfast buffet. Alongside the pitches there are comfort cabins, newly built 35 m² comfort cabins with underfloor heating in the bathroom, six standard camping cabins and three small bike cabins for cyclists arriving without a tent. Children get a central playground with a jumping pillow, climbing tower, swings, slide and playhouse, plus a ball field and a beach volleyball court. The campsite is run by the same family as Gåsevig Strand Camping and Hotel Fjordlyst, and its loyalty card earns two free low-season nights after ten paid nights at either site.
Dogs are welcome — Dog walking areas
Dogs welcome on the pitches for DKK 15 per night. Dogs in cabins only by prior arrangement, and not permitted in the new comfort cabins.
