Fehmarn watersports

Fehmarn gets more sunshine hours than most of Germany and a steady cross-shore wind, which is why the surf schools cluster at Wulfener Hals and Grüner Brink. Conditions are flat-water and shallow — ideal for learning kitesurfing or windsurfing — and the beaches on the south coast are gentle enough for small children on the same day. The bridge from the mainland means no ferry queue.
