Geirangerfjord
Sunnmøre, NorwayNature Verified details
UNESCO fjord with the Seven Sisters waterfall and the Dalsnibba road above it.
A 15 km arm of water walled by 1,000 m cliffs, on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2005. The classic way to see it is from the water — the Hellesylt ferry crosses in an hour and passes the Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls — and from above at the Ørnesvingen bend or the Dalsnibba viewpoint at 1,476 m. Kayaking from Geiranger is calm and beginner-friendly in the mornings.
