Hardanger fruit route

Norway's orchard country, unexpectedly gentle after the mountains. The road along the Sørfjord and Hardangerfjord passes cider farms open for tastings, the Steindalsfossen waterfall you can walk behind, and the Vøringsfossen viewing platforms. Blossom peaks in mid-May, harvest in September. It is an easy, mostly car-based day that suits mixed-age groups and rainy weather.
